The Fredericksburg Rotary Club presented a check for $1800 to Ignite, Inc. in support of operations for the Rockets '09 launch set for April 24, 25, and 26, 2009. The Rotary Club is serving as T-shirt sponsor for the event. Hundreds of students from 26 Texas high schools will attend Rockets 09 at Meek Ranch to launch up to 46 rockets designed and built by the students.

"One of the Rotary tenets is that every Rotarian is an example for youth," said Harrell. "This project is our way of supporting youth throughout the state of Texas."

Members of the Fredericksburg Rotary Club will also be working as volunteers throughout the three-day event.
